MBTA Green Line Extension – A Design Build Project
DBIA New England is pleased to host this informative session on the MBTA’s Green Line Extension Project, from the Design Build Contractor’s perspective.

The Green Line Extension (GLX) Project faced an uncertain future and potential cancellation in 2016 due to projected cost overruns and overall delivery uncertainty.
A Notice to Proceed was issued in late 2017 to “GLX Constructors” joint venture. The Project is now well underway and is scheduled for completion at the end of 2021.
Design of the project is nearly complete and design services during construction are ongoing. Construction has risen out of the ground and all the seven stations are underway.
GLXC Engineering Manager, Michael Hoitink, will provide an update on the construction of the project, and perspectives on:

Michael Hoitink
Michael is currently the Engineering Manager on the Green Line Extension project. Previously, he has served as the Engineering Manager or Design Manager for three other multi-billion dollar alternative delivery infrastructure projects for the Fluor Corporation.
