DBIA New England plans event attendance, catering, venue accommodations, materials, and other event-related expenses based on attendee registration commitments. Many of these costs must be finalized and paid in advance of the event and cannot be recovered if a cancellation occurs close to the event date.
To balance flexibility for our DBIA attendees with the region's contractual obligations, the following policy applies to all registrations unless otherwise noted:
- Cancellations received more than 21 days prior to the event are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations received within 21 days of the event are not eligible for a refund.
- Registrants who cannot attend may send a substitute attendee at no additional charge.
- Substitution requests should be submitted as soon as possible by emailing contact@dbiane.org.
- Substitutions requested within 72 hours of the event are welcome; however, DBIA New England cannot guarantee that updated name badges, printed materials, seating assignments, or attendee lists will reflect the change.
- If DBIA New England cancels or reschedules an event, registrants will be offered either a full refund or a transfer of their registration to the rescheduled event, where applicable.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days.
